Aluminera Extrusión SA has renewed its contract with the electricity producer Estabanell Energia to supply 100% renewable energy for the next 3 years 2021 -2024. We took Estabanell’s offer as the first choice because it was the only one that included 100% renewable energy supply and that it also ensures a clear commitment to self-consumption.

In this sense, both companies are already working to establish new collaborations in the field of photovoltaic panels that were stopped last year due to the pandemic.

The signed contract is based on a consumption of approximately 3.5 GWh / year, and is valid for 3 years.

Among other reasons, it is an offer based on our energy needs with an outcoming in an optimization of the billing process.

From Aluminera, our awareness of a company based on a sustainability criteria and respect for the environment, has met with the requirements of several of our main customers located in northern Europe, in countries such as Sweden, Germany, Poland or the Netherlands. They highly value the fact that their extruded aluminum supplier is using 100% renewable energy.
